Why do I need another applicaton?

Accounts production applications, such as IRIS and VT, produce high quality financial statements for your clients. These statements are exactly what's needed for filing or for financial institutions to read, but unfortunately are not always easily digested and understood by clients. In fact, in our experience most clients struggle to understand their financial statements properly, and even if they do when the accountant is present to go through them and explain, once they have left the accountant's office it all becomes hazy again...

Unfortuantely, IRIS Accounts Production - like many similar packages - do not produce more 'client friendly' reports utilising visual devices such as charts, which for many ordinary people, are the things that make sense!

How can akkOmi help?

akkOmi creates standardised, visual reports of the client's financial statements that you prepare in IRIS Accounts Production or VT Final Accounts. These value added reports do not replace the financial statements, they compliment them and are primarily for your client's benefit.

How does it work?

akkOmi is a stand-alone program that you install onto your Windows PC. IRIS users simply need to export a multiple year trial balance from IRIS Accounts Production in a csv format (get a sample here), point akkOmi to this file and press Generate.

Similarly, akkOmi works directly with VT Final Accounts' Excel spreadsheets - you just browse to the files and press Generate.

It's that simple.

What report is generated?

akkOmi creates a PDF report, in colour or grey scale, for both incorporated and unicorporated entities, analysing turnover and costs (for up to three financial periods) and presenting these in a more visual manner - using charts and tables along with explanatory text - which are typically more 'client friendly'.

Can't I do this myself?

Perhaps, if you have all the relevant Excel, Word, PDF-ing, Windows, networking and other skills required across your practice.

But setting up a process where all staff can easily and consistently produce the same quality, graphical PDF report for your clients can take considerable time and effort. Why not let akkOmi do it for you?

Is it easy to use?

Yes! akkOmi was designed to do this specific task and have minimal impact on your existing processes. We think that clicking a couple of buttons is a swish way to do it.

If you like the idea of akkOmi, but don't use IRIS Accounts Production or VT Final Accounts, but would like it to work with your system then please register your interest with us.
